Keeping You Safe Through COVID-19 and Beyond
We want to thank you for the trust that you place in us to take care of you or your loved ones, especially during this unprecedented time. At Health Force, we are taking extra steps to keep you safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are ready and prepared to serve you and are dedicated to educating and training our staff on the latest healthcare protocols to keep everyone healthy.
To date, we have taken the following precautionary measures to keep you safe
COVID-19 is spread between people who are in close contact (within 6 feet of one another) through respiratory droplets created when someone talks, coughs or sneezes. We have stringent protocols in place and are following all guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control, OSHA and state and local regulations.

- We continue to update, communicate and train our staff as new information regarding COVID-19 is released. You can count on us to monitor and strictly enforce the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
- As always, our caregivers are prioritizing good hygiene practices. Caregivers are frequently washing their hands before, during and after any patient contact. If soap and water are not readily available, hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is used.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE), including cloth masks and disposable gloves, are required during all home healthcare visits.
- Our caregivers continue to monitor the patient’s symptoms and will seek immediate emergency medical care if any COVID-19-related symptoms are exhibited.
- Caregivers will clean “high-touch” surfaces in the home (countertops, bathroom vanities, phone, bedside tables, etc.) in addition to the surfaces they come into contact with within the home.
- Place all used disposable gloves, facemasks, and other contaminated items in a lined container before disposing of them with other household waste.
- Caregivers who are sick or who are living with family members who are sick must stay home until they are otherwise advised by their healthcare provider.
If the Patient is Sick
If you or a loved one has tested positive for the coronavirus caused by COVID-19, we have specific infection control procedures in place so we can continue to safely care for you.
Safety Measures Our Caregivers Practice if a Patient is Sick:
- Practice safe social distancing. If our caregivers are sharing the same space as a sick person, we advise to open windows and turn on fans so air can circulate.
- Do not share food, dishes or utensils. Our caregivers will feed the sick patient inside their room, so they are confined to one area in the home. All dishes and utensils are handled with gloves and washed using soap and hot water.
- Limit contact with others. If a patient is sick, we ask that they do not have any unnecessary visitors over to the home to limit transmission.
- Gloves must be worn. During any medical treatment or contact with the patient, our caregivers are required to wear disposable gloves that are thrown away after each use.
- Cloth face coverings are mandatory. When caring for a person who is sick, a cloth mask will be worn at all times.
Steps for protecting you and your loved ones from developing COVID-19:
- The best way to prevent COVID-19 is by not being exposed to the virus. Avoid contact with anyone who has COVID-19 related symptoms or who has recently been in contact with someone who is exhibiting symptoms.
- Frequently wash your hands for at least 20 seconds. If you are not able to wash your hands, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Wear a cloth face cover in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when social distancing measures are not being followed.
- Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth.
- Practice safe social distancing by putting six feet of separation between yourself and people who do not live in your home.
- Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow and do not spit.
- Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19.
- Strengthen your immune system by following a healthy, nutrient-rich diet and staying well-hydrated.
